Sister Johanna Johanna is an active nun who tells animated about Mariadal. This monastery used to belong to the priests begaarden (male beguines). They brewed beer already in the Middle Ages beer. It was the oldest brewery in Hoegaarden.

She knows all about the unique palm procession (an annual festival since 1631). Maria is active in the parish community. She likes to meet people who want more information about the village, also about practical things. Maria knows how "shopping" in the small village Hoegaarden can become a fun activity.

Sylvia lives in a farm where in the 18th century Hoegaarden beer was brewed. She knows a lot about the rich brewing tradition of Hoegaarden. She tells you about the farms and the other houses of the golden age and about the churchwith St. Gorgonius, built in the 18th century with the money of the wealthy brewers.

Although Sylvie has studied and worked in large Flemish cities, she loves living in Hoegaarden, where she grew up. She studied tourism and journalism and she is always eager to learn. She likes walks in our nature, she knows unique historical details and can tell you surprising anecdotes about this village. She loves to show you around.

Wendy moved to Hoegaarden ten years ago. One of her hobbies is travelling and although she likes to discover the worlds’ nooks and crannies, she always loves coming home to lovely Hoegaarden.

Willy woont al 30 jaar in Hoegaarden. Als sociale wetenschapper heeft hij er mooi gevulde carrière opzitten, zowel in de sociale sector als in de politiek. Willy houdt van de natuur : van planten en bloemen, van moestuin en serre. Maar nog meer houdt Willy van mensen en van ontmoetingen.
Willy spreekt Nederlands, Frans en schools Engels, maar geen Hoegaards. Willy : 'Ik heb wel een examen gedaan, maar ik was gebuisd! Hm!'
